"I remember the first time I heard the male-female duo harmonies from the Civil Wars. I remember there were a lot of imitation artists that came in the wake of their Grammy winning success. The Sleeves are not an imitation, artist, though, but they deserve the comparison with the intimacy and sincerity of the Civil Wars. There’s a beautiful, articulate folk style to the music of the Sleeves. The lyrics are a bit abstract, but the full composition feels satisfyingly artful."

"...I am really enjoying those soft romantic vocals and how both their vocals create such beautiful harmonies. I am particularly fond of Felicia Harding's effortless way to convey emotion through her sultry vocals and how they soar over the infectious production packed with an exciting bridge and a mysterious and melodic synth-scape. "

"...alluring in the simplicity of its gentle, subdued electronic backdrop and its gorgeous lead vocal work (Harding) fused with the balanced but stunning male vocal harmonies of Spowart. Harding’s voice is absolutely captivating. It manages to be both sultry and sweetly innocent at the same time, quaint and yet rich. Strong melody lines draw me in; soft ripples of the synthesizer waft me upwards into the sensation of the light and billowing white clouds of young romance and innocent desire. There’s a passion and purity in the mood of it all that transports me far away from the temptation of gloominess."
